The talented actor has been tapped to star in Paramount’s upcoming remake of the 1982 classic “An Officer and a Gentleman,” according to reports from Deadline.
In the original film, which earned six Academy Award nominations and won two, including Best Supporting Actor for Louis Gossett Jr., Richard Gere delivered a career-defining performance as a troubled young man who enrolls in the aviation officer candidate school.
