Temuera Morrison, the actor behind the iconic Boba Fett in the Star Wars universe, has humorously expressed his desire to return to The Mandalorian series, citing a playful sense of payback as his motivation. Morrison’s comments, made during his appearance at the MCM London Comic Con, have sparked interest among fans of the franchise.
Morrison, who has been part of the Star Wars saga since his debut as Jango Fett in 2002’s Episode II: Attack of the Clones, starred in his own Disney+ series, The Book of Boba Fett, in late 2021. However, the show’s focus shifted significantly in its latter half, with substantial screen time given to Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) and Grogu, characters from the popular series The Mandalorian.
Referring to this unexpected narrative shift, Morrison quipped, “I would actually like my character to visit The Mandalorian, the Mando fort or something, and come in there and kick some real serious ass as well. The way he did and came into my show, and stole an episode of my show — so I’d like to do the same thing.”
This lighthearted comment highlights the interconnected nature of the Star Wars Disney+ series and the potential for character crossovers. With The Mandalorian & Grogu movie set to begin production this year and The Mandalorian Season 4 scripts reportedly already written, there could be opportunities for Morrison’s Boba Fett to make an appearance.
The actor’s statement also brings attention to the expanding Star Wars television landscape. Since The Book of Boba Fett’s conclusion in early 2022, Disney+ has premiered several other live-action Star Wars series, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Ahsoka, and The Acolyte, with Skeleton Crew expected later this year.
While there has been no official word on a second season of The Book of Boba Fett, Morrison’s continued enthusiasm for the character and the franchise’s ongoing expansion suggest that fans might not have seen the last of the legendary bounty hunter.
For now, Star Wars enthusiasts can enjoy Morrison’s performances across various entries in the franchise available on Disney+, including his appearances in the prequel trilogy and his cameo in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
As the Star Wars universe continues to evolve on both the small and big screens, fans will be eagerly watching for any signs of Boba Fett’s potential return, whether in his own series or as a guest star in The Mandalorian’s upcoming adventures.
