The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Sergei Kravinoff, a man driven to become a feared big-game hunter after surviving a lion attack that gives him incredible abilities. This is shown in the trailer, which begins by establishing Kravinoff’s determination to become the best hunter in the world. It then provides scenes of his intense training and the visceral actions he takes in hunts across Africa.
Director J.C. Chandor aims to tell a grounded, morally complex tale set in the Marvel universe. His background in highly praised films like “A Most Violent Year” suggests he will bring gritty realism to the story of Kraven’s journey.
