The seven-episode series is a big deal for DC Studios because it’s their first project under Gunn and Safran’s direction. To maintain consistency throughout the DC Universe, the series uses a unique casting strategy that allows actors to play their roles in both animated and live-action settings.
David Harbour plays Frankenstein, Viola Davis plays Amanda Waller, and Frank Grillo plays Rick Flag Sr. The show has a great cast. Steve Agee, Maria Bakalova, Anya Chalotra, Zoe Chao, Sean Gunn (who plays both GI Robot and Weasel), Alan Tudyk, and Indira Varma are other well-known players.
