Will Kulp says he is finished with reality television. In an Instagram Story posted late Friday, the 31‑year‑old original cast member of Bravo’s Southern Hospitality confirmed he declined to film Season 4, describing production as “a horrible experience and a life lesson.”
Kulp told followers the new season is already underway “and unsurprisingly I will not be a part of it this year.” He added that he “will likely never film a second of reality TV ever again,” while thanking “some cast, some production, Andy Cohen, and all of the crew” for their professionalism. The Charleston native, who became engaged to co‑star Emmy Sharrett in May, said he will support her from “the sidelines” as she remains with the series.
Southern Hospitality debuted in 2022 as a Southern Charm spin‑off following Leva Bonaparte’s staff at Republic Lounge & Garden and Bourbon & Bubbles. Three seasons have aired, with Bonaparte confirmed to continue leading the ensemble as cameras roll in Charleston for Season 4.
Kulp’s departure arrives four months after he skipped the Season 3 reunion, a move that prompted castmate Joe Bradley to predict “no bright future” for him on the show. Throughout Seasons 2 and 3, Kulp faced persistent cheating rumors—claims he and Sharrett have repeatedly denied—which he now calls part of a “defamatory storyline.”
Bravo has not issued a statement, but filming continues without Kulp, according to production‑adjacent outlets. Fan blogs applauded his candor while questioning how the series will fill the vacuum left by one of its central couples. Industry watchers note that reality shows set in Charleston have long drawn criticism for amplifying drama to attract viewers, a dynamic local media say can distort perceptions of the city.
