The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences announced the winners of the 30th Annual Webby Awards on Tuesday, with Heated Rivalry, Sinners, Severance, Bad Bunny, Timothée Chalamet, Lady Gaga, and Sabrina Carpenter among the honorees spanning entertainment, music, AI, and digital culture. The ceremony takes place May 11 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, hosted by The Daily Show correspondent Josh Johnson.
Heated Rivalry’s social campaign took both the Webby Award and the People’s Voice Award for Best Social Campaign, while the Sinners theatrical social campaign won for Best Overall Social Presence in Media and Entertainment. The television field saw SNL50: The Anniversary Special claim the Events & Live category, with The White Lotus official podcast and Severance’s tune-in campaign also picking up wins.
On the music side, Kendrick Lamar and SZA won for their “Luther” music video, Lady Gaga’s Monster Press Conference on Spotify swept the Events & Livestreams Social Campaigns category, and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Tears” took the People’s Voice Award for music video. Bad Bunny’s fan community won for Best Community or Fan Engagement in Media and Entertainment.
Google earned Brand of the Year with 13 Webby wins, 18 People’s Voice wins, and 22 nominees, while PBS was named Media Company of the Year and iHeartMedia received the Webby Podcast Company of the Year honor.
The Special Achievement Awards carry notable weight in this milestone year. Shonda Rhimes will receive the inaugural Webby Streaming Person of the Year Award for her impact across the streaming era as writer, producer, and CEO of Shondaland. Taraji P. Henson takes the IADAS and NAACP Webby Advocate of the Year Award for her mental health advocacy and work championing pay equity and underrepresented communities. Kylie Kelce wins Podcast of the Year for Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, and Druski is recognized for shaping online comedy.
The AI category drew significant attention. Claude Code won both the Webby Award and People’s Voice Award for Best Product or Service in AI Features and Innovation, while Google Gemini 3 took Best AI Technical Achievement. Waymo’s Safety Hub won for Best Responsible AI Implementation.
Webby executive director Jesse Feister described the 30th anniversary class as “a reflection of the Internet at its best,” pointing to the growing importance of the creator economy as a defining force in the awards landscape.
