Having bid farewell to Fortnite Chapter 3 with the Fracture event, Epic Games is now offering all fans of the free battle royale a small appetizer of the surprises to come with the next ingame stage against the backdrop of a new map.

The footage presented to us by Epic has ‘closed with a bang’ the activities conducted by those who took part in the Fracture event, helping to recompose the exploded fragments of the Chapter 3 map that, in all probability, will reappear (it is not yet clear in what form and with what changes) in the open world scenario of Fortnite Chapter 4.

A message in which the folks at Epic urge all Fortnite players to “don’t fall apart…fight for the fate of the island!” is included with the trailer.

The impressive Fortnite Chapter 4 launch video also offers small but significant previews of the biomes that will make up the new map and the characters we are going to see appear on the island over the course of Season 1.

The heroes that will be joining the Fortnite battle royale multiverse would include the Doom Guy from the FPS series of the same name and Geralt of Rivia: the monster hunter familiar to all fans of The Witcher video game trilogy (and TV series) will, however, be only one of the numerous characters in the upcoming ingame stage of Fortnite Battle Royale.

We will surely know more about it starting tomorrow, Sunday, December 4, with the re-opening of the servers and the official start of Fortnite Chapter 4.

Meanwhile, check out the video above and tell us with a comment about your expectations for the new map of Epic’s free-to-play shooter.
