“Titanic” celebrates its 25th birthday this year. To mark the occasion, the cult film will be returning to theaters in a remastered version, that is, featuring 3D effects and 4K resolution.
“Titanic”, which was directed by James Cameron, will again arrive in cinemas on February 10, but it is not known for how long. The 1997 box office hit will be back on silver screens in a previously unreleased refreshed edition.
By way of a reminder, the film’s plot is based on true events – the sinking of the title ship. We meet the fate of two characters, Jack and Rose, as they fall in love with each other despite the class differences that divide them.
The pair get to know each other during the Titanic’s maiden voyage, so, as we might guess, a story is not headed for an optimistic ending.
James Cameron’s creative output has been booming in recent months. The latest production of the director – “Avatar: The Being of Water”. – has broken the barrier of $1.7 billion in ticket sales revenue, while also earning the title of last year’s highest-grossing film.
Even better result can boast of the discussed “Titanic”. Production is still in third place in the ranking of the most box-office shows in the history of cinema.
It has earned more than $2.2 billion and lags only behind “Avengers: Endgame” as well as the first part of the “Avatar” series.
Curiously, we learned quite recently that Leonardo DiCaprio – who played the role of Jack – came very close to losing his place in the cast.
According to what Cameron revealed in an interview, this actor caused a lot of problems during auditions and even refused to participate in some rehearsals.
