Sister Wives returned to TLC on Sunday night for its 21st season, the first without Kody Brown and his wife Robyn after 16 years on camera.
The season premiered October 4 at 10 p.m. ET. A title card in the season trailer told viewers that Kody and Robyn will not appear, a break for the series that has followed the Brown family since its 2010 debut. The focus now falls on Kody’s former wives, Christine, Janelle and Meri, and how each rebuilds her life apart from him.
“There has been a lot that has happened,” Janelle says in the promotional footage.
Her love life gets screen time this season. The trailer introduces a man named Pete.
The change follows a turbulent stretch. Season 20 premiered September 28, 2025, and closed with a February 2, 2026 finale that coverage described as full of raw confrontations and unresolved tension within the family. The new season picks up after those fractures.
Viewers have several ways to watch. Cable and satellite subscribers can tune in to TLC directly. Cord-cutters can use TLC GO, the network’s app, with a pay-TV login. One report says new episodes reach the app the day after they air, and earlier seasons sit in its library.
Live-TV streaming services also carry the channel. Philo includes TLC in a plan listed at $25 a month and advertises a seven-day free trial. DirecTV places the channel on 280 and offers a five-day trial at $64.99 a month. Hulu + Live TV and Sling TV, the latter at $19.99 a month, round out the list. Prices and trial terms come from a consumer guide, so confirm them with each provider before signing up.
HBO Max is also listed as a home for the series, according to one streaming guide. That report did not say how soon new episodes arrive there, so subscribers should check the app.
Fans have asked TLC for years to center the wives, and the network is now doing so. How many viewers follow them without Kody will show in the ratings for the premiere and the weeks after.
