Hollywood veteran Nicolas Cage is spinning another web – as Spider-Man, no less! He’s starring in a new live-action Prime Video series called “Spider-Man Noir.” It’ll be the first television show based on a Spider-character.
In an interview, Cage said the show will focus on monsters and be like “popcorn entertainment” you binge watch. Each episode will tackle a new case. Instead of Peter Parker, Cage plays an older private eye who happens to have spider powers.
Set in 1930s New York City, it puts a classic twist on the heroes’ stories. Cage aims to capture that film-noir vibe through stylish art designs. “It’ll be fun to look at,” he said.
This isn’t Cage’s first time as the webslinger – he voiced the noir version in the animated movie “Into the Spider-Verse.” The show brings that character to life.
With Cage in the lead and talent like the “Lego Movie” guys behind it, “Spider-Man Noir” promises plenty of action. It also sets up an epic new chapter for Spider-Man unlike any TV show or movie before. Fans can’t wait to see Cage’s gritty spin on the classic hero when it swings onto Prime Video soon!
