Original Call of Duty: Warzone went offline on November 16, on a temporary basis, in order for players to focus on the launch of Warzone 2.0, the battle royale that has garnered more than 25 million players within days of being available on consoles and PC.
As promised by Activision, the break for the original Warzone is over and now the game is back on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC under the name Warzone Caldera and with quite a lot of limitations that make the game far from being what it once was.
The Warzone Caldera no longer has all its modes available and there is only one active map to play
As announced, Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep maps have been removed from the game and right now only Caldera is playable.
Booty, the alternate mode to battle royale, has been removed as well. Currently it can only be played in Quartets or Solo modes, also removing Duets and Trios that had been practically always available.
Moreover, the Warzone Caldera also does not have a battle pass right now, even though the store tab is still available.
This means, therefore, that Warzone Caldera’s options have been limited so that users can switch to the sequel and continue to spend their time on the new releases.

Servers will remain active, just like those of Call of Duty 4 or any other title of the past, but of course it will no longer be the same and it could even be difficult to find games of 150 players as quickly as before.
For the moment it has not been confirmed if at some point we will have the Rebirth or Fortune’s maps back in Warzone Caldera, though it is most likely that they will be released in Warzone 2 already remodeled.
The Call of Duty: Warzone is the free and battle royale version of Activision’s first-person shooter video game. We are invited to fight in a gigantic scenario, which collects some of the best maps, and invites us to be the best player in a combat that contains games of 150 players.
With solitaire and group modes, and an arsenal taken from Modern Warfare, it is a hit for consoles and PC.
