PS Plus Back and the Confusing Situation With Games Again

It seems that another two highly-anticipated titles may be disappearing from the PlayStation Plus Extra games catalog. Unfortunately, these are both critically acclaimed and beloved games, making their departure a real shame for gamers everywhere.

According to recent reports, we can expect to see even more games removed from the PS Plus Extra lineup in the month of February. Currently, we know of nine productions that have been given an official exit date. However, eagle-eyed gamers have noticed that there may be more titles on the chopping block.

One Reddit user recently shared a photo showcasing Metro Exodus and Saint Row The Third Remastered in the “Last Chance to Play” tab. Although these games currently don’t display any removal dates on their title cards in the PS Store, this doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t be removed soon.

In fact, it’s not uncommon for games to first appear in the “last chance” tab before their title cards are updated with the official removal date. So, if you’re a fan of these titles, it may be wise to play them sooner rather than later.

However, before we jump to any conclusions, it’s worth noting that some players on the Reddit thread have chimed in, stating that they don’t see the aforementioned titles in the “Last Chance to Play” tab. Some players even reported that they can’t find the tab at all. It seems that the situation is still quite unclear.

Despite the confusion, it seems likely that we’ll soon receive official confirmation that Metro Exodus and Saint Row The Third Remastered will be leaving the PlayStation Plus Extra catalogue. The rumoured date for their removal is February 21st, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

It’s a shame to see these critically acclaimed titles go, but it’s also an opportunity for new games to take their place in the lineup. As always, we’ll have to wait and see what Sony has in store for us in the near future.
