Unfortunately, recent insights into the production have shed light on the fact that the wait for the premiere of this ambitious project might still be quite a bit longer.
In a recent interview with Deadline, the President of Sony Pictures TV Studios, Katherine Pope, spoke about her illustrious career in the entertainment industry.
During the conversation, she touched on the adaptations of PlayStation franchises that are currently in the works. When it came to the God of War series, Pope stated that it is still in the early stages of development.
While it’s good to know that the project is still ongoing, this news also serves as a reminder that the release date is still quite a ways off.

“Adapting an IP requires an intimate understanding of the original material’s core values and building blocks. At the same time, you have to know what elements won’t work in a TV show,” Pope added.
As fans eagerly await more information about this highly anticipated series, speculation about casting choices has been rampant.
Names like The Rock and Tom Holland have been thrown around as possible leads, and even some of the original actors from “God of War: Ragnarök” have expressed a desire to join the cast of the Amazon Prime Video series.
