Just a week after catching a glimpse of the seventeenth Tekken 8 fighter through a leaked gameplay video, new information has surfaced regarding a potential beta for the highly anticipated fighting game.
According to a screenshot from the Valve store, the Tekken 8 beta could potentially arrive on Steam as early as June 8, coinciding with the Summer Game Fest 2023 gala. While the legitimacy of the screenshot remains unconfirmed, fans are advised to keep a close eye on the upcoming event.
Embracing Aggression: A Glimpse into Tekken 8
As the development of Tekken 8 progresses, it becomes increasingly apparent that aggression will play a pivotal role in the eighth main installment of the acclaimed franchise. With each passing day, fighters from previous games are being confirmed to make their return, possibly in the epic Tekken: The King Of Iron Fist Tournament.
However, it is important to note that the Tekken 8 beta may feature a limited roster of available characters, providing players with a taste of what’s to come.
Tekken 8 is being developed on the powerful Unreal Engine 5, ensuring breathtaking visuals and an immersive gaming experience on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC. In our initial impressions of the game, we marveled at its impressive graphics, noting that “the battles we have witnessed so far indicate that the franchise is set to exceed the heights achieved by Tekken 7.”
The Awaited Launch Window
While Bandai Namco did mention a release window for Tekken 8, it remains uncertain whether the game will grace the market this year or if fans will have to wait until the following year.
One notable decision has already been made: Tekken 8 will not feature guest fighters as in the previous installment, setting a new direction for the franchise. The Summer Game Fest holds the promise of unveiling a release date, accompanied by the long-awaited beta, offering fans a taste of what lies ahead.
As fans eagerly anticipate the Summer Game Fest, hopes are high that it will provide an exciting showcase for Tekken 8. With the potential leak of the beta’s release date and the promise of a thrilling gaming experience, gamers and fighting game enthusiasts alike are counting down the days until the event.
The Tekken community braces themselves for the latest chapter in the saga, yearning to step into the ring once again and prove their mettle in the epic battles that await.
