The game’s success was evident right from the start, with Sekiro selling over two million copies within its first 10 days of launch. By July 2020, it had reached the impressive milestone of five million copies sold. Now, over three years later, that figure has doubled, firmly establishing Sekiro as one of FromSoftware’s standout titles.
The news of Sekiro’s continued success has sparked discussions among fans about the possibility of a sequel. While FromSoftware did not release any downloadable content (DLC) for Sekiro, the idea of a sequel, possibly “Sekiro 2,” has gained traction.
With FromSoftware’s track record of delivering challenging and immersive gaming experiences, the prospect of revisiting the world of Sekiro is an enticing one for many.
Since the launch of Sekiro, FromSoftware has also released the highly acclaimed Elden Ring in 2022 and Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon in 2023. While the developer has not officially announced any new titles at this time, there are whispers of upcoming Elden Ring DLC, keeping fans eagerly anticipating what FromSoftware has in store for the future.
