Nintendo and Lego are bringing a double dose of joy to gaming enthusiasts with the official announcement of Lego Animal Crossing.

This delightful collaboration was revealed through a heartwarming trailer posted on Twitter by Nintendo Europe, showcasing beloved characters like Tom Nook, Isabelle, and the adorable animal villagers in the form of Lego creations.

Although a leak in August hinted at the possibility of an Animal Crossing Lego crossover arriving in March 2024, the official confirmation from Lego or Nintendo is still pending at the time of writing. According to the leak, fans can anticipate five different Lego sets, spanning a range of prices from $14.99 to $74.99.

The emergence of video game-themed Lego sets has been a source of excitement for fans. The Overwatch Lego crossover previously won hearts, igniting the desire for more crossovers of this kind.

Additionally, Lego’s impressive Sonic products from earlier this year set a high bar and generated anticipation for Nintendo to follow suit. The Lego Animal Crossing collaboration now fulfills that wish.

The timing couldn’t be better for an Animal Crossing Lego set. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has garnered immense popularity and acclaim in mainstream markets, establishing itself as one of the top Nintendo Switch games. The Lego set’s trailer also pays tribute to the game’s soothing soundtrack, adding a layer of appreciation for fans.
