Apex Legends‘ latest limited-time collection event, Urban Assault, has arrived, introducing a fresh batch of 24 premium cosmetic items inspired by urban streetwear fashion. However, the highlight of this event is undoubtedly Octane’s highly anticipated Mythic-tier Apex Riptide Prestige Skin Set, which players can unlock by collecting all 24 items from the Urban Assault Collection.

The Apex Riptide Prestige Set includes Octane’s evolving Prestige Skin, a stylish High Tide skydive trail, and the Death Dive finisher animation. While acquiring the complete set directly will cost a staggering 33,600 Apex Coins (approximately $336 USD), players can opt for a more cost-effective approach by crafting as many Epic-tier items as possible using Crafting Metals and then purchasing the remaining cosmetics through Urban Assault Event Packs at 700 Apex Coins ($7 USD) each.

In addition to the premium collection, the Urban Assault event introduces a free reward track featuring various cosmetic items that players can earn by completing event challenges and accumulating Event Points (EP). This includes an Epic-tier Catalyst Legend skin, weapon charms, holosprays, banner badges, and more, all showcasing the event’s urban aesthetic. Players can unlock every free reward by earning a total of 5,000 EP, along with 50 Crafting Metals and 16 Battle Pass stars, providing a helpful boost to their Breakout Battle Pass progression.

The Urban Assault Collection Event’s premium cosmetic offerings span a variety of Epic and Legendary skins for Legends like Wraith, Newcastle, Rampart, Valkyrie, and Loba, as well as weapon skins for popular firearms such as the Spitfire, Havoc, and Nemesis. These items can be acquired through direct purchases with Apex Coins, crafting with Crafting Metals, or by opening Urban Assault Event Packs.

To further incentivize progress towards Octane’s Prestige Skin, the event features a limited-time game mode that grants a 1.5x XP boost to players who have unlocked the Prestige Set, accelerating their evolution progress.

The Urban Assault Collection Event in Apex Legends promises to be a stylish celebration of urban fashion and free cosmetic rewards, culminating in the coveted Apex Riptide Prestige Skin Set for the adrenaline-fueled Legend, Octane. Players have until Tuesday, May 7, to participate in the event and secure their desired cosmetic items before they disappear from the in-game store.
