Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have scheduled the worldwide release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle, the next installment in the anime franchise directed by Haruo Sotozaki and produced by ufotable. The film will open in North America, the UK, India, Spain, Turkey, and several other territories on September 12.
The release schedule begins on August 14 in Malaysia, Singapore, and Pakistan, followed by Cambodia, Indonesia, and Vietnam on August 15. The Philippines will see the film on August 20. On September 11, it will arrive in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, and various regions across Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East. France and Belgium will have their releases on September 17, while Germany and other German-speaking regions are set for September 25.
Sony and Crunchyroll will distribute the film internationally, excluding Japan and select Asian territories. It will be available in both Japanese with English subtitles and an English-dubbed version.
The film is adapted from Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga series, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2016 to 2020 and has sold more than 150 million copies. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps as they confront demons within the Infinity Castle. It is the first in a planned trilogy.
The franchise has seen strong box office performances in previous releases. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train (2020) became the highest-grossing Japanese anime film of all time, earning over $500 million globally. It also ranks as the second-highest-grossing anime film in the U.S., where it collected nearly $50 million. More recent releases have also drawn significant audiences, with Mugen Train opening to $21.2 million in North America in 2021 and Swordsmith Village debuting at $10.1 million in 2023.
