Miramax has acquired the rights to I Can See You’re Angry, an R-rated comedy written by Brandon Cohen. The studio outbid several competitors for the project, which will be produced by Barbarian producer BoulderLight Pictures.

Details about the plot have not been disclosed, but the film is described as being in the style of Wedding Crashers and There’s Something About Mary.

Miramax and BoulderLight have an existing working relationship, with both involved in an upcoming remake of The Faculty. Robert Rodriguez is producing that project, with Drew Hancock writing the script.

BoulderLight has been involved in multiple recent releases, including Companion, a horror comedy that debuted in January starring Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid. The company is also behind Friendship, an A24 dark comedy featuring Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd. That film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last fall and is expected to be released this spring.

Cohen and BoulderLight are represented by Range.
