Netflix has released the full trailer for In Your Dreams, an animated feature arriving November 14 that follows siblings Stevie and Elliot as they plunge into a surreal dreamworld to find the Sandman and make a wish for the “perfect family.”
The footage previews candy-colored set pieces, from zombie breakfast foods to a sardonic stuffed giraffe, while framing the quest around a brother-sister dynamic that must withstand nightmare logic as much as danger. The voice cast features Jolie Hoang-Rappaport and Elias Janssen as the children, with Craig Robinson as Baloney Tony, Simu Liu as Dad, Cristin Milioti as Mom, and Omid Djalili as the Sandman; additional roles include Gia Carides, SungWon Cho, and Zachary Noah Piser.
The film marks the feature debut of writer-director Alex Woo, who co-created the preschool series Go! Go! Cory Carson, with Erik Benson joining as co-writer and co-director. Producers are Tim Hahn and Gregg Taylor for Netflix Animation and Kuku Studios.
TheWrap notes the animation is handled by Sony Pictures Imageworks, reflecting a glossy, effects-forward approach to the dreamscapes that dominate the trailer. Music is by John Debney, and Netflix materials highlight needle drops including Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” and a rendition of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” performed by Weezer, signaling a pop-savvy tone aimed at families as well as older viewers.
Official notes characterize the story as a journey that begins with a magical picture book and grows into a lesson about expectation versus reality, with Woo describing the project as inspired by childhood nights spent recounting bizarre dreams to his own sibling. Benson frames the theme around the search for “perfect moments” when life rarely aligns with ideal plans. Positioned within Netflix’s fall slate of animated titles, the film extends the streamer’s recent emphasis on globally accessible family adventures built around high-concept fantasy, celebrity ensembles, and brisk runtimes; platform materials list a 1 hour 31 minute length and a PG rating.
