Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie are reuniting for Dogfight, a Netflix revenge thriller set in London’s criminal underworld, with filming due to start in the United Kingdom in early 2027.
Netflix announced the project Tuesday and billed it as a “stylish revenge actioner.” Ritchie writes, directs and produces. Statham stars and also produces through his Punch Palace banner. The film is the seventh collaboration between the pair, whose partnership began when Ritchie gave Statham his first film role in 1998’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. It is also their first made for Netflix. The streamer has withheld plot details and has not set a release date.
Deadline reports a supporting cast with deep ties to Ritchie’s world. Vinnie Jones, who appeared in both Lock, Stock and Snatch, rejoins the director. Jason Isaacs, Babs Olusanmokun, Camila Mendes, Ben Foster and Jonny Lee Miller also star, and Raúl Alejandro makes his feature debut.
Black Bear Pictures, Ritchie’s Toff Guy Films and Punch Palace produce, with Ritchie, Statham, Ivan Atkinson and Black Bear’s John Friedberg as producers. Black Bear backed most of Ritchie’s recent work, including In the Grey and Wife & Dog.
The deal deepens Ritchie’s Netflix ties. His crime series The Gentlemen is already among the streamer’s hits, and the pair’s 2021 thriller Wrath of Man drew 8.3 million views in two weeks in Netflix’s global top 10 after it arrived on the service in December 2025, according to a streaming-industry site.
Statham’s other upcoming Ritchie film, Viva La Madness, is also a Black Bear production. The actor, best known for the Transporter series, The Meg, The Beekeeper and the Fast & Furious franchise, has long credited Ritchie with launching his career.
Netflix has given no word on a budget or a premiere window, and it has not said which roles the supporting actors will play.
