MacInnes had a career that lasted almost fifty years. His first movie role was in “Rollerball,” a future sports drama released in 1975. That being said, his role as the Y-wing fighter in George Lucas’s 1977 movie “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” made him famous. Later, he played this famous part again in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” which came out in 2016. The movie mixed old footage with new lines.

MacInnes was born on October 27, 1947, in Windsor, Ontario. He had a varied career in movies and TV shows. His commanding appearance got him jobs as guards and police officers, among other things. He played important parts in movies like Witness (1985), Judge Dredd (1995), Eyes Wide Shut (1999), and Captain Phillips (2013), which starred Tom Hanks.
MacInnes also made a name for himself on TV, with memorable roles in shows like “Vikings” on the History Channel and “The New Statesman,” a British political comedy. He was very flexible and easily switched between science fiction and serious theater.
