Tom Holland says he is “feeling better and on the mend” after sustaining a mild concussion during a stunt on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, adding that he’s grateful for the concern and support as he eases back to work. The on-set incident occurred last week during filming in the U.K.; production briefly paused out of precaution while the schedule was reviewed.
In a weekend update on social media, the 29-year-old actor thanked fans and shared that he left a charity auction early because of lingering symptoms, but emphasized that recovery is progressing. He appeared at the London event in support of The Brothers Trust, the nonprofit he runs with his family, before bowing out to rest per medical advice.
Trade and broadcast reports indicate the concussion was treated promptly and that Holland is expected to return to set following a short break. The fourth solo Spider-Man film has been shooting in the U.K. and Scotland with returning cast, while new additions join the ensemble. The studio had already planned a calendar meeting to re-sequence action work after the accident.
Holland’s message arrives amid heightened attention to stunt safety on large productions and the pressure to maintain momentum on franchise timelines. The actor, who has performed extensive wirework across his tenure in the role, previously shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film’s early days of photography. The new installment is slated for a 2026 theatrical release, with marketing expected to ramp up once principal photography is back at full strength.
