The Atari company was officially established on June 27, 1972, and therefore celebrates its 50th anniversary this week. For this occasion, many events have been announced, such as the launch of a logo to celebrate this half-century, and now, a compilation called Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration, which will not only pile up the past games.

The compilation will include 90 retro games, but most importantly, Interactive Timelines, taking us on a journey through the publisher’s history through “interviews with designers, developers and industry leaders, documentary footage, product design documents, and original high-resolution artwork.” Additionally, more than 60 minutes of interviews with prominent designers like Cliff Bleszinski have been recorded for the occasion.

The Digital Eclipse created experience will include titles from multiple platforms, including arcade terminals, 8-bit computers, and the Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, Lynx and Jaguar. In addition, it will definitely include a few Reimagined-stamped exclusives (along the lines of the Recharged versions of Breakout, Gravitar, Asteroids, Black Widow, Centipede and Missile Command).

Is “Wish” Worth Your Time? Find Out Here: Click to read our comprehensive analysis of “Wish,” Disney’s latest animated feature, and see if this centennial celebration film meets the high standards of Disney’s storied animation legacy.

Swordquest: AirWorld will therefore be a fourth and final installment of the saga, using the concepts of Tod Frye’s cancelled project, Haunted Houses is to be a voxel-based sequel to the survival-horror Haunted House, VCTR-SCTR an homage to the vector-based games of the Asteroids, Tempest and consorts era, Neo Breakout a replay of the cult brick-breaking series.

On the other hand, Quadratank is a sequel to the Tank franchise featuring 4 player team and individual multiplayer modes, as well as Yars’ Revenge Reimagined a remake of the 1981 shoot’em up, directed by Mike Mika, director of the 1999 GameBoy port who is currently in charge of Digital Eclipse

Besides these 6 original Reimagined games, the full list of retro experiences is not yet known, although several of them are available in video and images. Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration has no release date yet, but will be available this winter on PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch for around $40.

“Diverse Reality TV Series Analysis”: “Living for the Dead” is more than just a ghost-hunting show; it’s a journey through acceptance, empowerment, and chosen family.
