We will be able to watch the next, 4th episode of “House of the Dragon” on HBO Max on September 12. The big-budget fantasy series has lived to see another trailer – just for the upcoming episode.
HBO has published a new trailer for “House of the Dragon.” This time the video is about the events of its 4th episode, previewing the return of Daemon to King’s Landing, something that will dramatically affect the life of the main character. The premiere of the episode will take place on September 12.
The reviews for HBO’s new series are generally positive – definitely better than the mood that has developed around “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Amazon’s series is getting so much negative feedback from viewers that Amazon has opted to disable the option to rate its production.
Over on RottenTomatoes, “House of Dragons” boasts a high average of 85% from critics and 85% from viewers.
The HBO series fares a little worse on Metacritic, where there were more negative reviews (an average of 6.8/10, drawn from 42 critics’ verdicts), but the positive reactions from the fans themselves can also be seen here (the average from viewers is 6.8/10).
In its most critical text, the Slant website (rating of 3.8/10) chastises HBO’s new venture for “empty fan service” and lame attempts to duplicate plot patterns from “Game of Thrones.”
Now we know that “House of the Dragon” will be getting a second season. HBO has already ordered further episodes of the fantasy story. We will likely wait a little longer for the premiere – at least until 2024.
