Assassin’s Creed Mirage To Offer “Real Gambling” and “Drastic Violence”

The game is intended for adults only

Update: Ubisoft has now released a statement about this:

After Assassin’s Creed Mirage was announced on Ubisoft Forward, some stores mistakenly displayed the game for pre-order with an ESRB rating of “adults only,” and that is now being fixed. As Assassin’s Creed Mirage is still waiting for the rating, Ubisoft wishes to assure players that there is no gambling or lootboxes in production.

The adventure of the Middle Eastern-born Basim is yet another Ubisoft game exclusively for mature audiences, and the PEGI ratings reveal two pieces of information. This title may contain much bloodier scenes of killing enemies and “authentic gambling.”

The latest installment in the stealth series will be debuting next year, but Ubisoft isn’t missing a beat, and following its preview, Ubisoft is incredibly eager to share a number of details about the project.

Mirage is expected to be a smaller story reaching back to the legacy of the earlier games. Some additional information, however, we have learned through the Redmond giant’s digital store.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage, similarly to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, as well as Assassin’s Creed Origins, is going to be for adults only, as it has been given a PEGI 18 rating.

Microsoft’s store revealed an additional curiosity – the game is going to feature “partial nudity,” “themes with erotic overtones” and “drastic violence.”

We have seen annotations of “violence” in previous productions, therefore it seems as probable as possible that in the latest installment, besides strong stealth and stealth mechanics, gamers will experience scenes in which Basim brutally takes out enemies.

One feature of Assassin’s Creed Mirage will also be “authentic gambling,” although it’s hard to say what precisely is hidden under this term – these are not microtransactions, as “in-game purchases” were separately noted and appeared in most previous entries in the series.

Supposedly, as we explore Basim’s story, we might come across a mini-game that has been labeled by PEGI as gambling, because it would allow us to earn money or other kinds of rewards? We must be patient and wait for more Ubisoft footage. Follow us for more Assassin’s Creed Mirage News.
