Microsoft will be announcing its lineup for 2023 in the coming weeks or months, likely putting a release date on some of the most anticipated Xbox X/S Series and PC titles, including Starfield and Forza Motorsport.
This is waht notes Xbox marketing chief Aaron Greenberg, who addressed comments on social media over the lack of announcements at The Game Awards 2022 on Twitter.
We have a lot planned to show and share about an incredibly exciting year ahead for 2023. Appreciate folks are eager to learn and see more. Timing is always key, but don’t worry you will not have to wait too long for what’s next from us. 🙏🏻💚 https://t.co/d1dca2i2Nt

The new Forza Motorsport for Xbox X Series X/S and PC will launch Xbox Game Studios in spring 2023. At some point that year, console versions of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV, also coming out for Xbox One, will follow.
Other games with no release date have been announced by the company, including Hellblade 2 and Avowed. More expectations are generated by the next two titles to be released by Bethesda studios.
One of the most anticipated games of 2023, Starfield is expected to be available in the first half of 2023 if there is no further delay; this is a space role-playing game from Bethesda Game Studios, the makers of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4.
For their part, Arkane Austin, the folks behind Dishonored and Prey, will launch the open-world systemic shooter Redfall in the first half of 2023. Both this and the Todd Howard-directed RPG will be Xbox Series X/S and PC exclusives.
I’d love to understand the thought process of not having to show anything at one of this years’ biggest gaming events. You could say Xbox at least was consistent in 2022, ending the year with another disappointment.

Sony and PS5 made headlines at The Game Awards
As VGC and some users on Twitter point out, Xbox’s lack of announcements at The Game Awards is striking because of all the games they have in their pipeline (in addition to those mentioned, there is Perfect Dark, the new game from the creators of Gears 5 and more).
At the same time, the strong presence at the event from the games with temporary exclusivity for PS5: Final Fantasy 16, Death Stranding 2 and Forspoken is another reason why many Xbox fans are upset at the moment.
