PowerWash Simulator is embracing its grimdark side with an upcoming Warhammer 40,000 crossover DLC. Developer FuturLab has revealed full details on the content, gameplay, and release date for this unlikely pairing of franchises.
Slated to launch on February 27, 2024, the Warhammer 40,000 Special Pack will bring a bit of 41st millennium grit and dieselpunk aesthetics to the normally cheerful powerwashing simulator. Available on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam for $7.99, the DLC casts players as an Adeptus Mechanicus tech-priest cleansing iconic Warhammer units using a customized ‘Aqua-Santica Arquebus’ powerwasher.
The trailer showcased during IGN’s FanFest 2024 event reveals opportunities to blast away centuries of blood, oil, and grease from Warhammer 40k staples like the Ultramarines Land Raider tank, Dark Angels Deathwing Redemptor Dreadnought, Astra Militarum Rogal Dorn Tank, House Hawkshroud Imperial Knight, and Blood Angels Thunderhawk gunship.
Cleaning Iconic Factions and Vehicles from the Warhammer 40,000 Universe
These grimy futuristic battle vehicles will offer plenty of nooks and crannies for virtual powerwashing. Given the rich lore behind each faction and unit, longtime Warhammer fans are also likely to appreciate small details and easter eggs tucked away throughout the DLC.
PowerWash Simulator first launched in 2022 on PC and Xbox, later expanding to PlayStation, Switch and VR platforms. The game has seen several pop culture crossovers already, including packs themed around Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy VII Remake, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Back to the Future.
