According to reality TV dating show rules, Joan Vassos shouldn’t have made her choice before the final rose ceremony on Wednesday’s “Golden Bachelorette” end. The 60-year-old school administrator picked Chuck Chapple, an insurance executive, and asked him to marry her in a romantic moment on the beach.
Guy Gansert, a 66-year-old emergency room doctor, didn’t have to meet Vassos’s family because she had already chosen her partner. This was an unusual choice for Vassos to make. During a sad goodbye, she told Gansert, “My heart belongs to somebody else now, and instead of putting you through meeting my family and showing up on the last day, I wanted to spare you all of that because I care so much about you.”
Gansert was shocked by the sudden change in events. “Today I felt great. I liked you a lot. He was shocked that he had been kicked off before the final celebration. “I was ready to let it all out,” he said.
The finale was a big deal for Vassos and Chapple because they had both lost partners in the past. This was Chapple’s first proposal since the death of his partner, Kathy. As the plan went on, he said, “I never thought I’d have to do this again. ”
Vassos, who doubted her chances of falling in love again, gave Chapple her whole heart. “I never in a million years thought I’d feel love like this again,” she said. It was the first time she had talked about her love this season.
As part of the live “After the Final Rose” show, the newly engaged couple talked about wanting to inspire other people. “You need to do something. Jump out of your comfort zone, go out there, and find your person. Vassos told the crowd, “It makes your life so much better.”
The show gave the couple and their families a trip to Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate their proposal. This was a nod to their first date, which took place at Disneyland.
After Gansert’s emotional leave, social media users are calling for him to be the next Golden Bachelor. Fans have shown their strong support for the ER doctor, and one viewer commented about how famous the doctor might be.
At the show’s end, there was a sneak peek at the next season of Bachelor Grant Ellis, which will start in January 2025.
