Jon Hamm liked being called the “male Nicole Kidman” on CNN’s New Year’s Eve show. He recognized his busy schedule in 2024 in terms of film and television.
During his “New Year’s Eve Live with Andy Cohen & Anderson Cooper” segment, Hamm was thrilled when Cohen made the connection. “Listen, I think you called it: I’m at my peak, Kidman.” Hamm said, “I love it.” He also said, “I love my job.” I work on cool things, so why not me? “Yes, more me,” I vote.
The star of Mad Men has kept a full schedule. He has been in several well-known TV shows and movies, such as Landman, The Morning Show, and Fargo. The cartoon series Grimsburg on Fox also featured Hamm as a voice actor. He has parts coming up in Unfrosted, Mean Girls, Transformers One, and Your Friends and Neighbors on Apple TV+.
Kidman has also been busy lately, appearing in “Babygirl,” “Expats,” “The Perfect Couple,” and “A Family Affair.” So Hamm’s comparison to her makes sense.
During the New Year’s Eve chat, Hamm talked about how “Mad Men,” which will be 10 years old in 2025, has long affected people. “Well, obviously, it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done in my career,” he said. He was thankful that the show was still popular, saying, “30-year-olds come up to me and say, ‘Oh my God, I love that show.'” “You were 10 when it came out,” I told her. How can you be so sure?'”
Hamm, known for giving honest opinions, also talked about reality television, especially “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Cohen asked Hamm about actress Dorit Kemsley, and Hamm didn’t hold back. “Dorit makes me feel bad these days. “Her mentality and her issues are giving me some trouble,” he said.
Hamm was still hoping for a second season of Landman, the show he made with Taylor Sheridan. He told people to “stay tuned” for more information.
