From today’s news, we know that Death Stranding 2 is scheduled for release in 2024. Hideo Kojima hasn’t revealed much specifics about the plot – up until today, as a new episode of the Brain Structure podcast appeared online.
The information contained therein shows that the Japanese screenwriter this time wants to bet on a story in which three women play the main role.
In a way, this is connected with the game’s promotional materials, that asked us “Who am I…?” as well as “Where am I….?” questions.
The first female protagonist is Fragile, who we already got a close look at in the footage announcing Death Stranding 2.
Two other female characters we saw in the aforementioned posters. During the course of the story, we will meet Elle and Shioli, who were not further introduced in the trailer, however:
Elle and Shioli… do not appear in the trailer, but… I think I can reveal in the near future what roles they will play. But through posters like ” Who am I?” and trailers, I introduced the three actresses. You know, I can’t reveal too much now, but these three women… will play significant roles.
Kojima ended the question of stories regarding these 3 women with a hint that of the three, the most important role will go to Fragile. It appears that she is going to be as much of an important character as Sam Bridges.
