Fans of the hit Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, will be thrilled to learn that Carl Weathers is set to make a comeback in the role of the beloved bounty hunter, Greef Karga, in the highly-anticipated third season.

But that’s not all – Weathers will also be taking on the role of director for some episodes of the upcoming season. The news of Weathers’ return and new role in the series has sent ripples of excitement throughout the Star Wars community.

As if that wasn’t enough, Disney Plus recently released the first trailer for the third season, giving fans a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come. The Mandalorian has quickly become one of the most beloved series on the platform since its premiere in 2020, captivating audiences with its compelling storyline and dynamic characters.

But The Mandalorian isn’t the only Star Wars series that fans have been able to enjoy on Disney Plus. The platform has also premiered other series from the Star Wars universe, such as The Book of Boba Fett, which shares several characters with The Mandalorian, as well as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Star Wars: Andor. With so much Star Wars content to enjoy, it’s clear that Disney Plus is the go-to destination for fans of the iconic franchise.

As the release date for The Mandalorian’s highly-anticipated third season approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Mando and Grogu, played by Pedro Pascal.

But they’re not the only beloved characters making a comeback. Carl Weathers will also be reprising his role as the cunning and resourceful bounty hunter, Greef Karga.

But what can fans expect from Weathers’ character in the upcoming season? While details have been kept under wraps, it’s safe to say that Greef Karga will play a key role in the series’ storyline.

As the leader of the bounty hunter guild, he has a wealth of connections and resources at his disposal, making him a valuable ally for Mando and Grogu as they navigate the galaxy.

Not only will Weathers be returning to the role of Greef Karga, he will also be taking on the role of director for an episode of the third season, bringing his unique perspective and experience to the series. This is a true testament to his versatility and talent as an actor and director.

Mark your calendar for March 1, 2023, as this is the day when we will finally be reunited with our favorite characters in The Mandalorian. The wait is almost over, and with the return of familiar faces and new surprises in store, the third season promises to be an unforgettable journey.

Gambit recently had the chance to sit down with the one and only Carl Weathers to discuss the highly-anticipated third season of The Mandalorian.

Fans were excited to hear what Weathers had to say about his return to the series in the role of the cunning and resourceful bounty hunter, Greef Karga.

“I can say this: I’m going to be in it,” Weathers teased. “And I can say that I directed an episode. I can tell you that it’s going to be amazing. It will be bigger than the other seasons. And if you’re not amused, we’ll come after you.”

But what can fans expect from Weathers’ character in the upcoming season? Weathers gave a hint at some changes to come for Greef Karga:

“There are aspects of Greef’s character that you’re going to see in the third season that you didn’t see in the other two seasons. And he, I’ll just say this, has become a magistrate. He’s trying to keep Nevarro a safe place and a place you might want to call home.”

It’s clear that Weathers is excited about his return to the series and what he’s been able to bring to the character of Greef Karga in this new season.

With Weathers both acting in and directing an episode, fans can expect a thrilling and dynamic season that will keep them on the edge of their seats.
