The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S23 is about to take the smartphone market by storm with its ultra-high-end features and sleek design.
With its official release date set for February 17th and pre-orders available until the 16th, the Galaxy S23 comes in three models – the standard Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Each model offers a higher level of sophistication and premium features, but with a price increase to match.
The design of the Galaxy S23 stays true to its predecessor, the S22, with only minor changes to the camera module. However, the smartphone is reinforced with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back, offering improved protection against falls and scratches.
Additionally, the edges are made of robust and waterproof aluminum, earning an IP68 certification for continuous water immersion.
The Galaxy S23 boasts a 6.1 inch Full HD+ Oled screen with a maximum brightness of 1750 cd/m², making it easy to see even in direct sunlight. The screen also features an adaptive refresh rate that can reach up to 120Hz, depending on usage.
For photo enthusiasts, the camera module of the Galaxy S23 remains top-notch with a 50 megapixel wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel x3 telephoto lens.
The video capture capabilities have also been improved, now offering 8K resolution at 30 FPS. The autofocus system has also been significantly improved.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S23 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm, offering a noticeable boost in performance with more than 30% increase in CPU power, 40% in graphics, and a 50% boost in artificial intelligence capabilities.
The larger battery capacity of 3900 mAh also promises improved battery life. However, the 25W charging speed might seem a little slow compared to other competitors in the market.
The Galaxy S23 supports 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring high-speed data transfer and reliable wireless connections. The only downside is the higher price point, with the Galaxy S23 starting at $1054 for 128GB and $1120 for 256GB, a $110 increase from the S22 model.
