The cooperation between Hideo Kojima and Microsoft has taken an exciting turn as the Xbox Game Studios Publishing team recently paid a visit to Kojima Productions’ new studio.
According to Aaron Greenberg, Xbox VP Marketing, the visit was the start of a thrilling new journey, and they brought along a team of engineers, streaming experts, marketers, and production staff to work on the project.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere, as evidenced by the photos shared online. Kojima even received a stylish sweatshirt with the green logos of both companies, making it clear that the collaboration between the two is on solid ground.

Hideo Kojima has a close relationship with Microsoft, as he acknowledged last year, stating that the American corporation understands that visionary projects require extensive technological facilities.

Thus, the developer started a partnership with Microsoft to create an undisclosed project that is said to be a horror film called Overdose, featuring actress Margaret Qualley. In November, the first gameplay footage of the project leaked online, but it was quickly removed.
Despite the partnership with Microsoft, Kojima intends to maintain his studio’s independence and reject any offers to purchase it.
The developer believes that full autonomy is crucial to his creative process. Currently, he is also working on a sequel to Death Stranding, which will be exclusive to PlayStation 5.
