Known for their high regard within the sphere of English-language speculative fiction, the Nebula Awards are orchestrated by the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA).
While this marks the third Nebula win for George R.R. Martin, it is a first-time triumph for both Hidetaka Miyazaki and FromSoftware. Over his illustrious career, Martin has been nominated for the esteemed award on numerous occasions, emerging victorious in 1979 and 1985 for his captivating novellas.

The 2022 Best Game Script category was fiercely competitive, boasting an impressive array of contenders. Before “Elden Ring,” this honor was bestowed upon Supergiants’ “Hades” in 2020, Obsidian’s “The Outer Worlds” in 2019, and the inaugural award in 2018 went to House of Tomorrow and Netflix’s “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.” The role-playing game (RPG) “Thirsty Sword Lesbians” clinched the title in 2021.
