In a unique blend of gaming and commemoration, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is set to launch its first in-game event, True Legends, on November 15. This event, dedicated to honoring military veterans, allows players to earn a variety of special rewards. Among these are double XP tokens, weapon camos, emblems, and more, enhancing both the gaming experience and the tribute to veterans.
Running until November 22, True Legends offers players a week-long opportunity to acquire these unique items. Activision, in a recent blog post, has made it clear that unlocking these rewards is a straightforward process: players simply need to engage in the game and accumulate XP.
The timing and theme of the event coincide with the release of the latest Call of Duty Endowment charity DLC. This DLC, priced at $10, not only supports the Call of Duty Endowment charity but also accelerates players’ progress through the event’s bonuses. This dual benefit serves both the gaming community and a noble cause.
The Call of Duty Endowment: A Commitment to Veterans
The Call of Duty Endowment is an initiative by Activision, dedicated to assisting military veterans in transitioning to civilian jobs post-service. Since its inception in 2009, the charity has successfully placed over 125,000 military veterans in new jobs, showcasing Activision’s commitment to supporting those who have served.
In addition to contributing to a noble cause, players can unlock the Koa King Operator through the purchase of the Endowment Warrior Pack. This character is modeled after a real-life, highly decorated former Navy SEAL with extensive service history.
The True Legends event rewards include a variety of engaging items:
- “Emblematic” Sticker
- 30 Minute Double Player XP Token
- “Always Forward” Large Decal
- 45 Minute Double Weapon XP Token
- “Got Your Back” Weapon Charm
- “Stacked” Large Decal
- “Anthem” Emblem
- “Flanked” Calling Card
- 60 Minute Double Battle Pass XP Token
- “Brave Stripes” Weapon Camo
These rewards not only enhance gameplay but also serve as a reminder of the event’s deeper significance.
