Who Will Be the Next Wolverine? Taron Egerton seems strong, but there are more candidates!

Logan was released in 2017, the last solo film focused on the mutant Wolverine (Wolverine, if you prefer) and starred the great Hugh Jackman, who thus closed an arc of nine films along which he gave his best to play the character.

To replace him seems like a real mission impossible, although now that five years have gone by and the rights have passed to Disney, it looks like we are beginning to see some movements pointing in the direction that we could be looking for an actor to give life to a new version of Wolverine.

We are talking, of course, about the meeting held by Taron Egerton with company executives and Kevin Feige, which has publicly transcended, sparking speculation and making him himself a little overwhelmed at the prospect of getting the role at this key moment, which could coexist with many other Marvel characters.

Indeed, the versatile Welsh actor has already shown just how good he is at playing comic book roles, since his worldwide film debut was as Eggsy, the lead character in The Kingsman, a film based on a comic book of the same name written by Mark Millar.

However, rumors and theories about possible signings (as is happening with James Bond following the release of the latest film starring Daniel Craig) appear periodically on the net and the truth is that although there are always lists of candidates, choosing the right one is a madness.

So this week we present to you a list of possible candidates to play Wolverine based on age, physical condition, similarity to the character or character affinity. To say the least, it’s easy for us to imagine them as Wolverine, and that is already a lot.

Which is your favorite, would you like to see a younger actor in the role with a full change of scenery or would a more adult version be more appealing?
