Many have written off the Battle Royale genre as a passing fad in the pattern of the Multiplayer online battle arena genre, of which there are really only 3 important titles still alive today.
However, currently things are looking different, as Super People is once again breaking the bank and gathering a slew of players while still in its beta version.
Having seen Fortnite, PUBG, Call of Duty and Apex Legends soar to the genre’s pinnacle of popularity, many thought by now that no one would be able to break into the top league, but as it turns out, there is still plenty of room there.
The second beta testing phase of the Super People game shows that there is still a lot to do in Battle Royale, because several hundred thousand players have reached for the title.
Result? At any one time, more than 54,000 people are playing the Korean title simultaneously. giving Super People a place in the top 20 most played games on Steam.
