The Hogwart’s Legacy will be a game set in the Harry Potter universe, which will even allow you to visit locations that have not been shown in the movies or books. Its premiere is scheduled for February 10, which is less than a month from now.
From time to time, developers release videos featuring gameplay snippets as well as concept sketches. However, One in particular caught the attention of fans, because it shows how huge the game world is.
Despite the fact that the title of the game mentions the name of the school where the action of both the books and the movies takes place, there will be much further to go in the game.
The Forbidden Forest or the village of Hogsmeade, amongst others, are known to be featured. One video, revealing a bit of the game’s production secrets, gave a look at the huge map.
Given that it looks in vain for Hogwarts or Diagon Alley, known to appear in the game, it’s just a fragment of it.
The creators assure that the game will be really unique, because according to the director, anything that can be seen on the screen will be possible to visit. Therefore, taking a close look at every nook and cranny of the map can take a really long time.
On the official Youtube channel, it’s even more apparent how expansive the world the developers plan to put in the hands of players is.
ASMR’s series of videos includes one titled “A Calm Autumn Morning.” When looking at the landscapes, you can see that virtually every shot has something you’d like to approach and interact with in some way.
The key locations to find in the game
Besides traversing majestic green landscapes, Hogwart’s Legacy will also feature many locations familiar from the Harry Potter universe.
While not all of them will be known until the game’s actual release, a lot can be inferred from the materials published by the developers so far.
What locations could be learned about from the trailers at this point?
- Hogwarts Castle
- Forbidden Forest
- Hogsmeade village
- Hogsmeade Station
- Diagonally Street
- In-game map and fast travel
The minimap will be in the corner of the screen during gameplay, however it will be possible to turn it off to improve immersion and better immerse yourself in the magical world.
It was also confirmed that fast travel will be possible in the game. Just approach one of the marked locations and then use Fiuu powder to move to the previously discovered point.
Not much more is known about the game world at this point. However, one thing that is certain is that whether the player prefers to stay within the walls of Hogwarts or perhaps wants to wander far beyond them, he or she will certainly not be bored.
