In an exciting development for fans of both Destiny 2 and Mass Effect, Bungie has announced a unique collaboration with BioWare. This February, players of Destiny 2 can expect an influx of Mass Effect-inspired items, adding a thrilling new dimension to their gaming experience.
The crossover, a first of its kind, will introduce the ‘Normandy Crew Bundle’ to the Destiny 2 universe. Starting February 13, players can visit the Eververse store in-game to access this special package. The bundle is set to include distinct armor sets inspired by beloved Mass Effect characters: the N7 armor set for Titans, mirroring Commander Shepard; the Vakarian set for Hunters, inspired by Garrus; and the Shadow Broker set for Warlocks, reminiscent of Liara.
Furthermore, players can claim the ‘Alliance Requisitions Bundle’ at no extra cost. This package includes the Enhanced Defense Ghost Shell, the Alliance Scout Frigate ship, and the Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow, enhancing the Mass Effect vibe within the game. For those seeking additional Mass Effect-themed items, the Omni Strike finisher and Flux Dance emote will be available for purchase with Silver.
More Than Just a Crossover
While the Mass Effect crossover is certainly a headline-grabber, Destiny 2 continues to offer a rich and evolving gaming experience. The game has introduced ‘Riven’s Wishes’, a new set of weekly quests available to all players until March 12. In this event, players embark on a quest to save the last eggs of the Ahamkara, a wish-granting species on the brink of extinction. Players will navigate the depths of the Dreaming City, with Riven promising a single wish in return for their help. Choices include wishes for Strength, Protection, or Beauty, each offering different rewards, from Last Wish raid Deepsight weapons to Exotic gear and Ascendant crafting materials.
Additionally, the ‘Moments of Triumph’ event is currently running until June 3. This event invites all Destiny 2 players to conquer various Triumphs that celebrate the past year in the game. Meanwhile, the annual ‘Guardian Games’ celebration is set to begin in March, further adding to the excitement.
Upcoming Updates and The Final Shape Expansion
Looking ahead, Destiny 2 players can expect ‘Into the Light’, a two-month content update available to all players starting in April. This update is a precursor to the much-anticipated ‘Destiny 2: The Final Shape’, releasing on June 4. ‘The Final Shape’ will take players into The Pale Heart of the Traveler, confronting the Witness and culminating the ten-year War of Light and Darkness.
