After months of anticipation and speculation, HoYoverse, the creators of the acclaimed Genshin Impact, have officially announced the release date for their highly anticipated urban fantasy action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero. On July 4, 2024, players worldwide will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the post-apocalyptic world of New Eridu, the last remaining stronghold against the supernatural forces known as “Hollows.”

The announcement of the July 4 release date came unexpectedly through social media, a departure from HoYoverse’s typical grandiose trailer reveals for Zenless Zone Zero. In a concise statement, the company expressed their gratitude for the community’s ongoing support and interest, inviting players to join them on “Sixth Street” when entry to New Eridu is granted.

Alongside the release date announcement, HoYoverse has launched a special competition, offering fans the chance to win coveted prizes such as PlayStation 5 consoles, mechanical keyboards, and character stands before June 3.

The countdown to launch has already begun, with Zenless Zone Zero garnering an impressive 35 million pre-registrations across various platforms, including PC, mobile (iOS and Android), and PlayStation 5. Pre-registered players have already secured in-game currency, materials, and a free character, with the potential to unlock further rewards if the pre-registration count reaches 40 million.

Zenless Zone Zero promises a unique urban fantasy experience, blending dynamic combat mechanics with an aesthetically captivating world and narrative. Set in a post-apocalyptic era ravaged by supernatural destruction, players will assume the role of an “Experimenter,” a member of a group tasked with venturing into the treacherous “Hollows” in search of a path to the future. As they navigate this perilous journey, they will confront supernatural occurrences and uncover the truth behind the city of New Eridu.

The game’s impending release follows the conclusion of the “Amplifying Test,” the final closed beta phase, which ended at 11:59 PM (GMT+8) on [Date]. This final testing phase allowed HoYoverse to gather valuable feedback and refine the game’s mechanics and systems ahead of the global launch.

Zenless Zone Zero’s cross-progression and cross-play features ensure a seamless gaming experience across multiple platforms, catering to players’ preferences and allowing for convenient gameplay on the go or at home.

With the release date now set, players can pre-register through various digital storefronts, including the PlayStation Store, Google Play, App Store, and Epic Games Store. Upon launch, pre-registered players will receive a range of in-game rewards, including Master Tapes, random access to Agent Corin, 30,000 Dennies (the in-game currency), and Boopons.

As July 4 approaches, anticipation continues to build among fans eagerly awaiting the opportunity to delve into the enigmatic world of Zenless Zone Zero. HoYoverse’s latest creation promises an immersive and captivating experience, combining stunning visuals, dynamic gameplay, and a compelling narrative that will challenge players to unravel the mysteries of New Eridu and shape the fate of this post-apocalyptic realm.
