No way – you’ll never believe who might be coming back to direct the next Avengers movies! Word on the street is that the Russo brothers, the guys behind Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame, are in talks to take the helm for Avengers 5 and Secret Wars.
If this happens, it would be huge. Those movies are pretty much considered the best that the MCU has ever done. But it’s been up in the air what was going to happen with the new Avengers films since stuff has been changing behind the scenes.
The original director and writer left, and some people are saying they might not even use Kang as the main villain anymore, even though Jonathan Majors totally killed it in that role. So Marvel probably wants someone they know will deliver, and who better than the Russos?
Fans seem pretty hyped about the possibility. But not everyone thinks it’s a good idea – some think getting the old crew back together is a bit too safe. Especially since the recent movies haven’t all been home runs. Personally, I’m curious to see what they would do with even bigger budgets and more heroes involved.
I heard these next Avengers movies could have over 60 superheroes in them! That would be insane. So maybe the Russos are the best people to wrangle that many costumed characters. We’ll have to wait and see, but the future of the Avengers just got a whole lot more interesting. Might be time to rewatch the Infinity Saga again…
