You’ll never guess who was totally losing it at the movie premiere for the new “Twisters” movie – Tom Cruise! He was seriously freaking out in the best way while watching the sequel to the classic disaster flick “Twister” from 1996.
The premiere was in London recently for “Twisters,” which comes out on July 19th. Anthony Ramos, who plays Javi in the movie, was sitting in front of Cruise and said it was wild. Cruise just kept tapping him and laughing the whole time!
I guess Cruise’s excitement was seriously off the charts. Ramos said Cruise was excited at different moments and scenes, just cracking up non-stop. Cruise didn’t hold back any reactions either. He must have really loved what he saw!
Cruise went to support his “Top Gun: Maverick” co-star Glen Powell, who plays a storm chaser in “Twisters” named Tyler. After the movie, Cruise posted a pic with Powell calling it a fun night with friends.
The new “Twisters” also stars Daisy Edgar-Jones. It’s directed by Lee Isaac Chung and aims to capture that same adventurous spirit as the first one from 1996. That one made nearly $500 million worldwide, so expectations are high!
Experts think “Twisters” could make between $40-60 million its opening weekend. Cruise’s excited reaction at the premiere has people even more pumped. Ramos said Cruise gave him props afterward, telling him “good stuff” about his performance.
