Anil Kapoor, a legend in the Bollywood film industry, celebrated his 68th birthday on December 24 by releasing the first trailer for his upcoming film, “Subedar.” One minute and forty-seven seconds long, the teaser presents a gripping crime thriller about a former soldier who fights to keep his family safe.
Kapoor plays Subedaar Arjun Maurya in the preview. Maurya is a retired military officer who is having new problems at home. The teaser builds tension as Maurya faces a dangerous mob that wants to break into his home in the middle of India. One of the most memorable scenes is when Kapoor’s character calmly gets ready for war by carefully loading his gun while danger looms outside.
Kapoor said in a release, “Subedaar is unique.” “It’s much more than just an action film; it explores resilience, honor, family, and our ongoing struggles in life.” He was excited to work with director Suresh Triveni and said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better director than Suresh to lead this project.”
The film’s creative team is very good; Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekar wrote the plot together. The role of Kapoor’s daughter strengthens the film’s family themes played by rising star Radhikka Madan. The movie “Subedaar” is made by Opening Image Films, Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network, and Vikram Malhotra.
The filming for “Subedaar” is almost over; the outdoor shots were just finished. The last part of the shooting will start in January. The film will first be shown on Prime Video only, and a date for its general broadcast has not yet been set.
Besides this project, Kapoor has had some great roles recently, like in “Fighter” with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, and in Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal” (2023).
