Temuera Morrison has urged Star Wars devotees to “send a fax, or a letter, or an email” to Lucasfilm so he can suit up as Boba Fett again, telling a Tampa Bay Comic Convention audience that no new projects are on his calendar and that fan pressure might change that. The actor said he treasures every appearance, yet remains “hungry for another chance” after The Book of Boba Fett wrapped in early 2022 without a renewal.
Asked whether muted critical reaction hurt prospects, he replied that only Lucasfilm knows, while co-panelist Daniel Logan joked that Morrison already holds the franchise record for most personas—from Jango and Boba to an army of clones—and deserves at least one more. Online sentiment is with him: the 29-year-old Boba Fett Fan Club and hashtags like #BringBackBoba have circulated template emails targeting studio executives since his comments surfaced.
Disney’s slate currently spotlights The Mandalorian & Grogu (in theatres May 22 2026) and Dave Filoni’s untitled crossover film; neither lists Boba among confirmed characters, though industry chatter suggests scripts remain fluid.
Morrison, meanwhile, has pitched returning as Captain Rex should Ahsoka earn a second season, expanding his clone résumé if bounty hunting stays on hold. He told a separate interviewer that he still hasn’t received “a single call” from the studio since cameoing as a down-and-out clone trooper in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Lucasfilm declined to comment, but analysts note the company has filmed Morrison’s previous cameos with little notice, meaning a last-minute appearance remains plausible while larger scheduling decisions play out.
