Following the appearance of a mysterious entry titled Silent Hill: The Short Message in the authority assigning age categories to games in South Korea, which occurred in September, the subject of this mysterious production has emerged again.
This time, such project has been evaluated in terms of age categories by the Digitial Game Rating Committe of Taiwan.
The authority, classifying games by age, has published an entry only for the PS5 version. As the publisher of the project in question is listed the company “UNIANA”.
This is the corporation that regularly publishes Konami games in South Korea (most recently, for example, eFootball 2023).
In October, Konami had announced that several important projects related to the Silent Hill series were being developed. Primarily, it’s a remake of Silent Hill 2.
The Japanese company didn’t say anything about a project titled “The Short Message,” which suggests that we may be dealing here with a demo version of the Silent Hill 2 remake.
Currently the Polish studio, which has previously created The Medium, Layers of Frear and Observer, is now working on that project. We have to wait for detailed information.
