Great news to start 2023 for all those rap lovers, because rapper 50 Cent has announced to be working to bring forward a series based on the movie 8 Miles, which made Eminem famous in the world of music but also in the world of cinema. 50 Cent himself confirmed this in an interview with Big Boy TV.

“I’m going to turn 8 Miles into a TV series,” 50 Cent assured in the interview, in which he also confirmed the participation of Eminem himself. “We’re working on it and it’s going to be huge. There’s no doubt in my mind. I’m giving my all to make it happen.” As for how he managed to convince Eminem to participate, he says he didn’t have to.

“It’s very important to me that he’s participating in the series because he has to protect his legacy. It’s very important that that’s understood,” the rapper explained, who gave the first details about the 8 Mile series, which he expects to be a kind of revision of history as the new series of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has been.

“I want to be able to show and offer new details about the story that have been said in interviews or that have been seen but were not used in the film. Details that are out there but unknown and that help to continue to build the characters better,” said the rapper.

The Eminem story

It is very important for 50 Cent that Eminem is involved in the 8 Mile series because the film released in 2002 tells the story of the rapper himself and his first steps to try to make a name for himself in the world of rap, a musical style predominantly of blacks in the United States.

In its time, 8 Miles became not only a cult movie for all rap lovers, but also made Eminem known internationally and also won an Oscar for Best Song for the song Love Yourself.
