A longtime script supervisor for The Walking Dead, Amy Blanc Lacy, died on September 5 from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run crash in northwest Atlanta four days earlier. She was 62. Police say a Hyundai Elantra traveling near 90 mph in a 45 mph zone struck the Toyota Prius carrying Lacy and her two adult sons at Northside Parkway NW and Mount Paran Road NW on September 1. Lacy, seated in the back seat on the driver’s side, was critically injured; her sons were also hospitalized.
Investigators identified the driver of the Elantra as Buck Rollins, 31, who allegedly fled the scene on foot. An arrest affidavit states Rollins later claimed he had a seizure, but crash-data from the vehicle showed braking began about 2.5 seconds before impact. He surrendered days later and was charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and speeding, and was released on a $70,000 bond, according to jail records.
Witness video reviewed by local news captured the aftermath as the Elantra continued down Mount Paran Road; police located the car soon after. Authorities said the Prius’ driver was Lacy’s 23-year-old son and that her 25-year-old son was also a passenger. All three were transported to a hospital.
She was one of the people who made TWD TWD, on film and on set. If you love it (hell, even if you don’t) you love her, I assure you. She was gifted, and in a hard working group, she was one of the hardest working. (2/5) pic.twitter.com/qQMCAWnbBT

Colleagues and friends described Lacy as a steady presence on set and a mentor to younger crew. Over a three-decade career, her credits spanned television and film, including SeaQuest 2032, Halt and Catch Fire, The Walking Dead, Loki, The Neon Bible, Rosewood, and The Great Lillian Hall. Tributes shared on social media recalled her warmth and professionalism. A fundraiser has been organized to support her children. Police asked anyone with information to contact investigators as the case proceeds through the courts.
