Disney+ will stream every “Treehouse of Horror” in order for the first time, programming all 36 episodes as a continuous Halloween marathon on The Simpsons’ 24/7 “Stream” channel starting September 29, accessible in the platform’s Live tab. The event is part of Disney’s seasonal lineup and will roll alongside other spooky-themed Streams in the run-up to Halloween.
The Simpsons’ always-on channel launched earlier this year with 767 episodes from seasons 1–35 playing chronologically on a loop, creating a lean-back feed of nearly 300 hours of Springfield without manual selection. Disney said the lineup refreshes monthly, a setup that makes it straightforward to switch the feed over to a franchise event like “Treehouse of Horror.” Access to the Stream initially required the service’s premium tier, with plans to broaden availability later in the year.
The marathon lands as the series prepares its next anthology: “Treehouse of Horror XXXVI” is slated to air on October 19 as the fourth episode of Season 37, ensuring the 24/7 feed doubles as a primer for the new installment.
Longtime viewers will find the episodes grouped in sequence rather than scattered across their original seasons, a convenience that has been a longstanding fan request and one that historically was only possible by manually selecting each season’s Halloween entry.
Disney is also re-skinning other Streams for the holiday period, including a general Halloween film channel and a villains-focused feed, positioning “Treehouse of Horror” as the anchor for animated horror-comedy while the broader Hallowstream collection highlights movies and specials elsewhere on the service.
The “Treehouse” run will appear on The Simpsons Stream specifically, with individual episodes still available on their season pages for viewers who prefer on-demand browsing instead of the Live tab.
The move consolidates decades of holiday programming into a single destination at a moment when streaming platforms are leaning back into linear, curated experiences. For The Simpsons, it also invites newer Disney+ users to sample the show’s most trafficked gateway—its annual horror anthology—without navigating 30-plus seasons of menus.
