“Widow’s Bay” led this year’s Set Decorators Society of America Television Awards, taking the prize for best achievement in décor/design of a one-hour contemporary series at a ceremony held Sunday night. The organization handed out honors across nine categories, spanning contemporary and period dramas, limited series, comedy formats and daytime programming for work released between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026.

Set decorator Jennifer Engel and production designer Steve Arnold claimed the contemporary series award for “Widow’s Bay,” beating out nominees including “Euphoria,” “The Morning Show” and “Pluribus.” “Palm Royale” won the one-hour period series category for the second time, with Ellen Reede and Jon Carlos recognized for their design work.

In the fantasy and science-fiction category, voters split the honor between two heavyweights: Julie Ochipinti and Howard Cummings won for Amazon’s “Fallout,” while David Morison, Neville Gaynor, Mark Scruton and Philip Murphy shared the prize for Netflix’s “Wednesday.”

“Beef” took the television movie or limited series award, with set decorator Kellie Jo Tinney and production designer Grace Yun honored for their work, edging out competition that included “Black Rabbit” and a Kennedy family biopic. On the comedy side, “Hacks” won the half-hour single-camera series category, marking a sweep of the award for every one of its five seasons, while “Happy’s Place” took the multi-camera prize.

Smaller-format categories rounded out the night. Offset and John Legend’s music video “Never Let Go” won for web series, music video or commercial design, “The Muppet Show” took the variety, reality or competition series honor, and “The Bold and the Beautiful” was recognized in the daytime series category.

The television awards follow the SDSA’s film ceremony held earlier this year, where “One Battle After Another” swept the top prizes, winning both Best Picture and the contemporary feature film award for set decorator Anthony Carlino and production designer Florencia Martin.

Several of Sunday’s TV winners are expected to carry momentum into the Emmys, though the categories don’t map perfectly onto the SDSA’s own structure — “Wednesday” is positioned to compete for the contemporary program prize, while “Fallout” and “Palm Royale” will face off in the period or fantasy category. The Set Decorators Society of America, an international trade organization representing set decorators across film and television, has seen its winners go on to capture the Academy Award for production design in four of the past five years.
